Utes Return to Favour & EV Sales Slow Post Demise of Clean Car Discount

• The first quarter of 2024 has seen the return of the ever-popular utility vehicle with utes taking out 4 of the top 10 sellers in Q1 2024 making up a quarter of all new vehicles registered in the quarter.
• Ute sales have had a wild ride over the last few years, Covid affected the entire market in early 2020 and while the market bounced back slowly, the introduction of the Clean Car Discount scheme struck a
  blow to utes with taxes imposed on nearly all utes.
