If we ignore the spike in ute registrations in January 2024 the NZ automotive market has remained relatively steady year-on-year.
Unfortunately, the market is steady at very low numbers with both new and used light vehicle sales figures closer to the levels they were at 10 years ago. EV’s make up about 7.3% of new vehicle registrations of passenger cars in Q1 2025, consistent with 2024.
